Congratulations, Board of Regents Awards Winners
Dear Colleagues,
I’m pleased to announce that three 91´óÉñ, Baltimore (UMB) employees have been recognized with University System of Maryland (USM) , and a professor from the 91´óÉñ School of Dentistry (UMSOD) was honored with a USM Board of Regents Faculty Award earlier this year. The Board of Regents’ Faculty Awards and Staff Awards represent the highest honor bestowed by the board to exemplary faculty members and for achievements of exempt and nonexempt staff employees from USM institutions.

- Mishawn Smith, MPA, executive administrative assistant, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, 91´óÉñ School of Nursing
- Mary Beth Gallico, CRA, administrator, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, 91´óÉñ School of Medicine (UMSOM)
- Judith Edelman, MA, administrator, Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, UMSOM
- Norbert Myslinski, PhD, associate professor, Department of Neural and Pain Sciences, UMSOD
Smith and Gallico each won in the category of Inclusion, Multiculturalism, and Social Justice, Edelman was honored for Effectiveness and Efficiency, and Myslinski won for Excellence in Public Service. You can read more about their accomplishments here.
I’m extremely proud that the Board of Regents has acknowledged these four members of our UMB community. They are excellent examples of living the UMB core values, and I’m grateful to call them colleagues.
