Dawn M. Rhodes Announcement
Dear Colleagues:
I鈥檓 delighted to share with you that Dawn M. Rhodes, DBA, MBA, is now senior vice president. Dr. Rhodes joined the 91大神, Baltimore (UMB) in 2016 as chief business and finance officer and vice president.
Dr. Rhodes oversees UMB's $1.3 billion budget, capital planning, facilities operations, and business affairs and serves as a key liaison to the local community on neighborhood development projects. Since joining UMB, she has brought transparency to University finances, launched a revitalized Live Near Your Work Program, created an Emergency Management Department, and hired UMB鈥檚 first female police chief.
She is a key strategic thinker in the president鈥檚 cabinet and viewed as a thought leader within the University System of Maryland. Most recently, she has been an integral part of UMB鈥檚 response to the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a member of the President鈥檚 Crisis Management Advisory Group.
