The Student Counseling Center is here for you; we provide solution-focused brief intervention counseling and psychiatric services for all UMB students.

Holiday Closing Announcement
The Student Counseling Center will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Monday, July 6th for the observance of Independence Day (4th of July Holiday). Services will commence Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 8:30AM
  • When the SCC is closed, students may still utilize the Crisis Support Service at (410) 328-8404 (press 7) should you need any immediate assistance. If you are experiencing a life threatening mental health emergency, please call 911 for UMB Police or call/text 988 for the National Mental Health Crisis Line.
  • ARE YOU OR A PEER IN CRISIS?

    If you are experiencing higher levels of distress, please call 410-328-8404 and mention that you are in crisis and need to speak with a counselor. After Hours: press 7 to speak with a counselor immediately.

    If you are experiencing a life threatening mental health emergency, call 988 or UMB police (410-706-6882)
