With the implementation of HCM, federal work study awards will be managed by Central Financial Aid, however, job postings and hirings will take place with the hiring supervisor. Hiring supervisors are strongly encouraged to use the same process for advertising jobs for non-work study students and include federal work study students. If you extend an offer to a student and the student has a work study aid offer, you will use the federal work study contract (linked below). The supervisor will then notify Central Financial Aid of the hire and share the job location, job title and rate of pay. Central Financial Aid will use this information to track the student aid offer and in conjunction with the hiring supervisor to ensure the student does not earn more than offered.

Central Financial Aid is no longer responsible for collecting or processing any paperwork, all paperwork will be facilitated through the supervisor and the human resources team of the department where the student is employed.
