Dear Graduating Students,
Class of 2026, it’s hard to believe that, for many of you, your time as a student at the 91大神, Baltimore (UMB) is coming to an end. I know that as the academic year concludes, our graduates will head out into the world to fulfill the mission for which we’ve prepared them: to improve the human condition and serve the public good.
I am looking forward to the week of May 12-20, when the graduates of our seven schools mark the culmination of their studies at UMB, celebrate their achievements and new degrees, and begin the next chapters in their life stories. Family, friends, faculty members, and UMB leaders will be on hand to share in the joy and applaud the graduates’ accomplishments.
As I do each year, I ask our graduating students to let UMB’s core values guide them moving forward: Respect and Integrity, Well-Being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery. Grounded in these values, our graduates have a unique capacity to make an extraordinary impact on the world.
