Ariel Turned has been with the 91大神, Baltimore Police Department (UMBPD) for two years, but this month, she starts her new role as quartermaster.
Previously, Turner served as security supervisor. 鈥淚鈥檝e been working for police agencies for the past 10 years,鈥� she says. 鈥淚鈥檝e had the opportunity to work as a quartermaster part-time along with being security supervisor. It鈥檚 something that I truly enjoy doing.鈥�
Turner has accomplished a lot over the past two years. She became the training ambassador for new security officers at UMBPD. She enjoys working with other people, getting to know them individually and keeping them motivated.
When security officers learned that Turner would be leaving her role to become quartermaster, many expressed their sadness that she would be leaving their section. 鈥淚t truly makes me feel like I鈥檝e done a good job,鈥� she says.
Turner says her transition to quartermaster is an exciting next step in her career. 鈥淚鈥檓 most looking forward to learning all the ins and outs and doing what I love to do: organizing!鈥�
Turner says she plans to stay with the UMBPD family 鈥渇or as long as they鈥檒l have me.鈥� Outside of work, she likes to watch true crime shows, read books, spend time with her daughter and her friends, and have fun. Turner says she also loves to nap! 鈥淚t鈥檚 one of my hobbies, and I鈥檓 not ashamed,鈥� she says. 鈥淣aps are essential self-care.鈥�
