PFC Kevin Harris is one of the newest police officers at the 91大神, Baltimore (UMB). 鈥淚 wanted to be a part of change,鈥� he says. 鈥淧eople often complain, but rarely do something to change what they don't like.鈥�
Harris has been an officer for a year and a half. He says his biggest accomplishment was going through the police academy.
鈥淚t鈥檚 the second academy I鈥檝e been through in my lifetime, and to have made it through at 43 years old 鈥� I鈥檓 super proud of that accomplishment.
As a police officer, Harris says there are a lot of different skills to master. 鈥淎t times, I just have to remind myself that I will grow into the officer I want to be as long as I put the effort in,鈥� he says.
Harris's favorite part of being a police officer is interacting with the community. He enjoys meeting new students and reminding them to relax and stay focused.
In the future, Harris hopes to become a sergeant. He enjoys nature and road biking.
