Project Overview

Project Delivery is partnering with Real Estate Planning & Space Management (REPSM) to configure and implement the Assetworks Lease Module within UMB’s existing Integrated Work Management System, commonly known as AiM and ReADY. This creation of a lease tracking system will streamline lease data management, improve the efficiency of updates, and provide a more seamless and integrated experience for users across the university.

Why

The Assetworks Lease Project was launched in response to the discontinuation of support for the university’s existing space management system, Archibus. As the university planned to develop a new space module within its Integrated Work Management System, AiM, it was determined that lease management should also be built within the same platform. This approach established AiM as the university’s consolidated system for space and lease management.

AiM centralizes all property and location data, enabling stakeholders to accurately track and analyze the total cost of both owned and leased spaces across the university. As part of the implementation, the system integrates with AutoCAD to import floor plan drawings, which are made accessible through the external-facing ReADY portal.

ReADY Space enhances transparency by crowdsourcing data from trusted UMB sources and presenting it to campus leaders in a visual, user-friendly format. This supports improved space utilization and informs long-range planning decisions. Additionally, the implementation includes the Lease module, which allows UMB to manage leasing activities by tracking who is using the space, for what purpose, and for how long.
