The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) would like to inform instructors, students, and educational technology staff that the multimedia discussion platform VoiceThread, which is integrated with Blackboard, will be retired at the 91大神, Baltimore (UMB). The campus-wide license for VoiceThread will end June 30, 2026, after which it will no longer be available for campus-wide use. Details of this news can be found as part of a recent announcement in The Elm (click 'more info' below).

as we prepare for system configuration updates. Users will not be able to access Concur during the outage period. Please do not attempt to submit a travel request or book travel in Concur at this time. The updated system will become available on July 1.
If you have urgent travel needs, please contact our Travel Management Company (CTP) directly for assistance.
Note: Expense Reports are not impacted and may still be submitted as usual.

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) will be performing maintenance on the Voicemail servers. Maintenance is scheduled on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 between 6:00 AM 鈥� 7:00 AM. No downtime is anticipated.

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) will be performing maintenance on Cisco ISE (primarily used for campus wireless) on Monday, July 6, 2026, between 8:00am and 10:00am. No downtime is expected.

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) will be performing maintenance as part of the Core refresh project on Monday, July 6, 2026, between 10:00am and 3:00 pm. A minimal disruption is possible as connections are migrated to the new switches.

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) will be performing Network maintenance on the Campus Wireless network. Maintenance is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 PM and will end on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:00 AM. Intermittent downtime is anticipated.

Our campus Internet Service provider, MDREN, will be performing network maintenance on Sunday, July 12th, 2026, between 4:00am and 7:00am. No downtime is expected but users may notice some network latency with Azure, OCI, and internet connections during the maintenance window.

Blackboard will be undergoing maintenance by the vendor on July 29, 2026 11:00 PM EST. 聽The maintenance downtime is expected to last approximately two hours. The Blackboard application will be unavailable during this maintenance window.聽
